Bookings and Treatments
The terms and conditions below apply to all bookings made at www.mermaidbrighton.co.uk or directly by phone or in person.
All rates featured on www.mermaidbrighton.co.uk are subject to availability and may be changed at any time without prior notice. Mermaid and its practitioners reserve the right to decline massage bookings and treatments without any obligation to provide a reason for doing so.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure that a consultation takes place and that they are suitably healthy to receive the treatment provided. All Therapists at Mermaid are qualified and fully insured.
Payments and Cancellations
While booking over the phone you may be asked to provide your credit or debit card details so a deposit can be taken to secure your booking. You can also secure your booking using the online payment function provided by Treatwell. Payments can be made in advance of treatments when booking through the website or over the phone. Please advise us of any cancellations at least 24hrs in advance of the booking date for a full refund of any monies paid. Any appointments cancelled less than 24hrs prior to the booking time are non refundable. When booking and paying you are authorizing us to retain the full cost of any treatment should you cancel with less than 24hrs notice. Payments in cash are accepted on the day of the treatment. Please note we do not accept cheques.
Refund Policy
Please note all treatments are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable except at the discretion of the salon management.
Information about you from Third Parties.
In order to protect our customers from potential fraud, we verify the information you provide with Worldpay. In the course of such verification we receive personally identifiable information about you from such services. The purpose of this is to allow payment processing settlement services and fraud checking. The detail disclosed are, Name, details of user funding instruments and details of payment transactions.
Information Security
As we are using Worldpay to operate our payments collection you should be aware they Worldpay is committed to handling your customer information with high standards of information security. They use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, enforce physical access controls to their buildings and files and authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfil their job role and responsibilities. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid as shown on the voucher up to a maximum of 6 months. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash and may only be used as specified on the voucher.
Use of Personal Information
Mermaid is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its online visitors. When booking and having treatments we will collect the email addresses of our clients. This information is never shared with other parties except for our online booking partner ‘Treatwell’. We may occasionally contact you with special offers but all communications will include a clear ‘opt out’ button. Also we do not store any of your financial data, this is only used for the purpose of completing a transaction with our business.
We adhere to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

All rights, including copyright and database right, in the website and its contents, are owned by or licensed to Mermaid or otherwise used by our online booking system developer, Treatwell, as permitted by applicable law or the copyright holder.
